Austin Lehman's Preserve a Park Program

2013 Preserve A Park Program

Every year since 2010, Austin-Lehman Adventures has supported US National Park preservation by selecting a recipient National Park program and donating a portion of its profits. In times of reduced Federal funding (National Park programs suffered a $101 million funding cut in the 2011 Federal budget alone), ALA has pledged a $100 per person donation to a designated non-profit organization for each guest reserving a spot on its 2013 small group Crater Lake Adventure or Crater Lake Family. Recipients have included: 2010 Glacier National Park and the non-profit Glacier National Park Fund, 2011 Yosemite National Park and the non-profit Yosemite Conservancy, and 2012 Canyonlands National Park and the non-profit Canyonlands Natural History Association. For 2013, ALA has chosen Crater Lake National Park and the Crater Lake Natural History Association in Oregon.

“Since 2010, the trips benefiting our ‘Preserve a Park’ program have sold out in record time.  In 2013, we expect our Oregon adventures to be no different.  Our loyal alumni, and new guests alike, love knowing that a portion of their trip fee helps preserve our national parks,” said Dan Austin.

Crater Lake, the deepest lake in the U.S., is only one of countless natural wonders in Oregon's Crater Lake National Park. On your Oregon adventure, by day raft the world-famous Rogue River, bike along the rim of an extinct volcano and hike the Pacific Coast trail, enveloped in the rich bouquet of pine forests. By night, indulge in fresh, locally grown berries, cheeses and wines and enjoy the rare spectacle of classic Shakespearean theater under the stars.
