Short Bio:
I was born and raised in the city of Youngstown, Ohio. Growing up my family gave me the chance to experience the outdoors in a variety of ways. These included anything from short camping trips to extended canoe and kayaking adventures. During high school my passion for the outdoors grew exponentially, after trying the sport of mountain biking. All of these travels lead me to my current home of Morgantown, West Virginia. I am now pursuing a degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Resources with a concentration in Sustainable Tourism at West Virginia University. In the winter of 2012 I spent five months living in Chile working for a government funded tourism project. This internship focused on developing tourism in the region of Patagonia by connecting small businesses. I have spent several years guiding backpacking trips for West Virginia University groups in near by Dolly Sods Wilderness Area. I’m looking forward to an amazing summer with all guests and the family of Austin-Lehman!
Trips Guided by Patrick:
Patrick's Guide Survey:
What’s your favorite vacation destination?
My favorite destination has to be Moab, Utah. It offers a ton of outdoor activities in such a close proximity.
What’s your favorite bike ride?
For me, there is nothing better than an afternoon loop ride through Coopers Rock State Forest in West Virginia, especially in autumn.

Describe the most amazing experience you've had while traveling: Favorite Movie: Favorite Book: “The Man Who Walked Through Time” Collin Fletcher Favorite Outdoor Acitivity: Cross-country mountain biking. What are your hobbies? When did you first catch the travel bug? After graduating high school a group of friends and I packed up for a 28-hour road trip to Yellowstone. Since that trip I have had the inner drive to see and experience more of this beautiful world. After recently coming back from an extended stay in Chile the urge to travel has continued to grow. |
