Wine Tasting Tours & Vacations

Guests on one of our African wine tasting adventuresIs wine tasting really an adventure sport? We think so! That's because we combine exclusive vineyard wine tasting and tours, gourmet cooking classes, wine making and wine pairing demonstrations and fine dining experiences with three of our most appetite-inducing sports: biking, hiking and kayaking. What's more rewarding than topping off a day of hiking with a glass of fine local pinot noir and a homemade chocolate truffle?

Learn the ins and outs of wine pairings at a private demonstration in Italy. Bike France's Bordeaux region topping off the day with a local wine named for the region in which it was produced.

Chile & Argentina | Wine Country> During the day, the thermometer climbs up to 32 degrees °C, while at night the proximity to the Andes brings cold air. The soils have very different properties and are irrigated by the meltwaters of the Andes providing ideal conditions for growing healthy vines. Currently Chile is the only country cultivating the Carmenère grape.

Northern California | Napa/Sonoma> There are approximately 45,158 vineyard acres in Napa Valley and 53,000 arces in Sonoma. This region is best known for their  Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Zinfandel,  Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Noir. California produces about 90% of the wine made in the United States.

France | Burgundy>  The region of Burgundy  is famous for the concept of "mid-slope", this is the midpoint on the slope between the steeper eroded upper parts, and the flatter limey calcareous soils on the bottom. Not only does it get the optimum mixture of the soil types, but also ideal drainage, and exposure to sunshine and wind. It is here where you will generally find the Grand Cru vineyards. The most popular wines from this region our Burgundies, which are red wines made from Pinot Noir grapes or white wines made from Chardonnay grapes

Spain | Riojoa> Rioja wine region is divided into three sub regions: Rioja Alta, Rioja Baja, and Rioja Alvisa. Each has a slightly different climate and soil. There are around 500 Bodegas (wine shop) in the Rioja region. Rioja is most famous for its Temranillo (black grapes) which is used to make full-bodied red wines.
