Suggested Hawaii Vacation Itinerary:

Day 1: Hanakapiai Beach and Falls
Meet in Lihue and shuttle north to the Kalalau Trailhead • Hike the rugged Na Pali Coast to Hanakapiai Beach (distance: 4 miles RT) • Watch for humpback whales and sea turtles in the surf below • Learn about guava trees and other botanical wonders from our local naturalist • Enjoy a picnic beachside and play in the surf before continuing along a moderately challenging trail to 100’ Hanakapiai Falls (named after a Menehune Princess) taking in the views, wildlife and botanical wonders (distance: 4 miles RT from Hanakapiai Beach) • Return to the resort to freshen up before dinner at The Pacific Café

Day 2: Silver Falls Ranch / Luau Beach
Begin the morning with a horseback ride through flora and palm trees on a 450-acre private ranch • Dismount at Silver Falls for a catered lunch and a swim in the natural pool beneath the falls • Return to the resort to enjoy free time as you wish – bask in the sun, swim and snorkel • Tonight’s treat is a traditional island luau comprised of Polynesian dancing, an Imu ceremony and more

Day 3: Wailua River / Poipu
Head into the lush jungle-clad interior to kayak the legendary Wailua River • Hike 30 minutes up a secluded valley to Secret Falls for a picnic and swim • Later, visit Hilo Hattie’s for shopping – “The Store of Hawaii” is the largest retail source for Hawaiian and Island Lifestyle products and a “must see” for all visitors to Kauai • Laden with treasures, head to Poipu, rated one of the Top 10 Beaches in the World • Enjoy a complimentary Mai Tai before tonight’s dinner at an island favorite, Roy’s Poipu Bar and Grill, specializing in local seafood and produce

Day 4: Waimea Canyon 
Embark on an full day of hiking and biking in Waimea Canyon which Mark Twain declared “the Grand Canyon of the Pacific” • Explore by foot and then by bike the canyon’s expansive volcanic-layered walls • Hike past Koa trees and awa’puhi (red ginger) to picture-perfect vistas • After lunch, bike from the rim down the canyon road to the Pacific with stops for photos and narrative on history, culture, and folklore (distance: 12 miles with 3,500’ elevation drop) • Tonight is yours to enjoy at your leisure - relax at the pool, spa or beach with dinner on your own (your guides will help with recommendations)

Day 5: Na Pali Coast
Sail from Port Allen by catamaran off the rugged Na Pali Coast • Observe a myriad of sea birds and playful dolphins surfing the bow waves • Snorkel in a quiet cove and explore secluded beaches and sea caves • Marvel at Spouting Horn, a natural lava rock blowhole • Enjoy a sunset dinner in a spectacular oceanfront setting at the Beach House Restaurant in Poipu - melding gracious Hawaiian service with innovative Pacific Rim cuisine by Chef Todd Barrett

Day 6: Kalapaki Beach
Savor the garden isle’s tropical surf, white sand and warm sun this morning before returning to the Lihue airport for departure
