A. We have a legacy going back to 1974 through Euro-Bike & Walking Tours, Backcountry Tours, Adventures Plus and now, Austin-Lehman Adventures.

Euro-Bike & Walking Tours was founded in 1974
Backcountry Tours was founded in 1985
Adventures Plus was founded in 1997
Austin-Lehman Adventures established its brand, combined with Adventures Plus and acquired Backcountry Tours in 2000
Austin-Lehman Adventures acquires Euro-Bike & Walking Tours in the fall of 2008

A. Austin-Lehman Adventures is an owner-involved, small group adventure travel company specializing in high-end, active vacations. Our goal is to inspire travelers through spectacular natural scenery, rich cultural immersion and fun, invigorating activities.

Q. Aside from the adult trips you offer, do you also cater to families?
A. If there were a formula for family adventure and fun, Austin-Lehman would have written it. We've been planning and guiding family holidays for over two decades. Our designated family adventures have been built from the ground up and are tailored to appeal to families with children ages 7 and older. Q. What about group and private custom trips?
A. Austin-Lehman's been crafting private group adventure tours for over 20 years. The process is simple: tell us what you want to do, how much you want to spend and how active you'd like to be, and we’ll build it exactly your way. Looking for a higher level of challenge and distance? No problem. Want something that’s really over-the-top? That's our specialty. Q. Are your trips all-inclusive?
A. In short, yes. Rates include double occupancy rooms with private baths / All meals and snacks except one dinner on your own / Professional and first-aid certified guides and local partners and experts / Bikes, kayaks, helmets, and other necessary equipment / Vehicle support during the trip / Luggage service / Austin-Lehman t-shirt, water bottle, and luggage tags / Detailed pre-departure and packing information / All taxes, dining and housekeeping gratuities, local partner and expert gratuities, and national park entrance and permit fees, unless noted. Not included are guide gratuities, items of a personal nature and round trip air to the host city.

Q. What kind of Consumer Guarantee do you offer?
A. Exceeding a client’s expectations is Austin-Lehman’s top priority. If we fail to deliver on our promise and we are unable to resolve the matter to their satisfaction during or after a trip, we’ll refund up to the full amount paid to ALA.
