| | | Austin-Lehman Adventures is Growing! Welcome Euro-Bike & Walking Tours | | We’ve got BIG news! Euro-Bike & Walking Tours (EBT), an active vacation company specializing in Europe, has joined the Austin-Lehman Adventures (ALA) family! As a result, we've welcomed some amazing talent into our folds, including Director of European Operations, Ron van Dijk, European Adventure Specialist, Kathy Guyer, and EBT's outstanding guides. EBT and ALA are kindred spirits that recognize the importance of customer service, special touches, knowledgeable local guides, and the ability to see a new place from an insider's point of view. | | | Ron really knows Europe! He was born and raised in Holland, having spent most of his life in the Netherlands, Germany and France. By the time he was 21 he'd explored a good portion of Europe and was fluent in Dutch, German, French and English. Since then he's learned Spanish and Italian. Without a language barrier, Ron has access to people, places and a true insider's perspective which he shares with every guest. He's always been fascinated with European history and her various cultures - each intertwined and yet different in so many ways. After graduating from college in the States, he spent 7 months biking through Southern and Eastern Europe. It was then that he realized there's no better way to explore Europe than along her back roads on the seat of a bike. Ron got into the biking/travel business in 1983, and is proud to say he hasn't stopped pedaling since! View Ron’s guide profile here >> |

Whether served campfire-side or at a 5-star restaurant, our artfully prepared local eats are sinfully delicious! | Local Bites: Local Bites: Bouillabaisse Trip: France - Taste of Provence Biking Adventure | | | Method: | The food of Provence, France, once considered the working man's cuisine, has become known and admired world-wide for its heartiness and use of fresh, local ingredients. Bouillabaisse, which originated in Marseille, has withstood the test of time: some believe the recipe's origins can be traced back to 600 BC! Always a seafood recipe, traditional Bouillabaisse was refined as recently as the 19th century to contain the ingredients we are familiar with today like tomatoes and saffron. | Click here for the whole Bouillabaisse recipe.
