Short Bio: Ian Sherrington is an instructor in the Ecotourism and Outdoor Leadership Program at Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta. Ian has taught at MRC since 1998, has an Outdoor Pursuits Degree from the University of Calgary and a Masters of Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University. He teaches various academic courses in the leadership & program planning areas as well as activity courses in backcountry skiing, avalanche awareness, mountain biking, and wilderness survival. He has been involved in a number of expeditions to the Himalayas, Alaska, South America and the Canadian Arctic. At home, he enjoys helping his two young daughters develop their own passion for the outdoors. Ian has guided for Austin-Lehman Adventures for the past three summers in his back yard, the Canadian Rockies.
