What’s your favorite vacation destination?
¡Viva México!
What’s your favorite hike?
My favorite hike is in the Goat Rocks near my hometown of Yakima, WA. It’s a little secret that offers views of the three volcanoes: Mount St. Helens, Rainer, and Adams. The Goat Rocks are a miniature version of the Tetons.
What’s your favorite bike ride?
Antelope Flats at the base of the Tetons offers picturesque views of the amazing mountains, Moose, Antelope, Buffalo, and Ansel Adam’s barns.
What’s your favorite trip to guide?
Teton-Yellowstone Trip
Why?
This trip has a little bit of everything: canoeing, hiking, biking, rafting, and wildlife. The trip starts in the beautiful and first National Park, Yellowstone, and ends in the stunning Mountains of the Tetons, which also offers amazing food and lodging in the way of Jackson Hole.
What do you do that makes a guest’s vacation special?
I guide so that I can give people the ultimate vacation. My strengths are in food, endless energy, passion for the areas, and years of guiding experience.
Favorite Movie: Shawshank Redemption, Into the Wild, Pulp Fiction, The Matrix, and Thicker than Water.
Favorite Book: Honeymoon with my Brother
Favorite Song: Anything from Jack Johnson!
Describe the most amazing experience you’ve had while guiding a trip:
I acted as the Sherpa for 2 men and 1 woman in there 70’s as they climbed 6,000 feet to the summit of a mountain in the Tetons. There sense of accomplishment and all of our exhaustion on top of that mountain is something WE will all never forget.
When did you first catch the travel bug?
When I was a sophomore in college I hitch hiked to Mexico. Since then, I have traveled all over the Americas, Europe, and Africa.
What are your hobbies?
Kite boarding, Snowboarding, Skiing, Skateboarding, Whitewater Kayaking, Soccer, and, my favorite, Surfing.
