The 8 of you (well, 16 if you count your horses) are the only souls in sight – steadily making your way up Yellowstone's Absoroka Mountain behind Jack, a 4th generation Montana cowboy, and his trusty gelding, Sherwood. There's often no better way to experience the world than on horseback, from the same vantage point its earliest settlers did. No roads, no motors, no crowds. Just you and your gentle steed – and the stunning surroundings: verdant alpine slopes, fresh-water creeks, steep canyon walls, sandy beaches, open meadows and lush rainforests.
Come face-to-face with wildlife you'd normally have to peer through binoculars to spot as you enjoy a horseback riding safari in South Africa. Zebras and giraffes come so close you can nearly touch them, gallop across the open plains in search of rhino, and follow a herd of kudu as they graceful move through the bush.
