Toast your adventure-to-come over a savory welcome dinner in the tranquil oasis of your 17th century villa overlooking the hills of Lucca. Ferry to Elba and follow in Napoleon’s footsteps on a hike through forests of bamboo, eucalyptus, magnolia and olive trees to Monte Capanne for jaw-dropping panoramas of the open sea and jagged Italian coastline. Meet the owner of an olive oil company near Suvereto, explore the narrow alleyways and former synagogue of Pitigliano and walk along ancient Etruscan dug-out roads to Sovana.
