At Austin-Lehman Adventures, our guests are our best ambassadors.  Here's an excerpt from one traveler's journal about his Galapagos vacation:

"Great travel opportunity and experience for single parents. My 8 year old daughter had several other kids for company and companionship which was great for both of us."
~ Brian Bishop, Austin, Texas - 2006 Galapagos Adventure

Galapagos - Wildlife Sanctuary

It's day 4 of your Galapagos tour. As you walk along the wind and sea-swept volcanic rock of Fernandina Island, you step carefully so as not to disturb the sunning iguanas, seemingly oblivious of your presence. As you approach the water, a sea lion pup splashes playfully in a tide pool. When you're a few yards away, he notices he's got a visitor, and - to your surprise - sidles awkwardly on all four flippers in your direction. You stand perfectly still. The pup stops at your feet and goggles at you with big brown eyes before launching into a game of untie the shoelaces! Sure enough, when your laces are undone and soaked in sea lion slobber, the pup looks up proudly and barks goodbye before waddling back to his tide pool in search of his next adventure.

Welcome to Darwin's natural laboratory, and to your Galapagos Islands adventure. Venture each day from your 20-passenger yacht with a skilled naturalist to a new island and get up close and personal with the stunning terrain and fearless exotic creatures that make the Galapagos theirhome. Walk volcanic trails and protected highlands and marvel at lava bombs, spatter cones, cinder cones and lava tubes on a hike to the top of an inactive volcano. Come nose to nose with a 600-pound, 150-year-old tortoise, snorkel alongside warm-water penguins and watch as a blue-footed booby dances in courtship. Return each night to a delectable meal and a restful night's sleep in the comfort of your signature yacht.

A few more reasons why you've gotta go...

1.    For a step back in time: when else will you have the opportunity to follow in Darwin's footsteps and experience first-hand where his Theory of Evolution all began?

2.    The fearless wildlife: without any natural predators, the raptors, reptiles to marine mammals of the Galapagos are clearly as interested in you as you are in them.

3.    The giant tortoises: for a true definition of longevity, come face to face with the world's most enduring creature (whose average life span is 150-175 years!).

4.    Did we already mention the wildlife?  Most of the animals in the Galapagos are unique in the world and can only be seen in this group of beautiful islands.
